A roundtable organized by the British High Commission in partnership with Nigerian agencies marked a significant step toward enhancing the nation’s digital resilience.
Mark Smithson, Country Director for the UK’s Department for Business and Trade, stressed the need for public-private collaboration and continuous training to combat cyber threats effectively. Discussions highlighted strategies to tackle cybercrime, promote awareness, and bridge gaps in Nigeria’s cybersecurity infrastructure.
Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, NITDA Director General, emphasized shared responsibility in safeguarding critical assets. Industry leaders also warned of rising financial losses, urging cross-sector cooperation.
