Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for 20 Airbus A350-900 aircraft and 11 Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Starting in Fiscal Year 2027, the A350-900 will be introduced to JAL’s international routes, expanding the airline’s international network.
 The A321neo aircraft will begin replacing the Boeing 767 currently operating on domestic routes in 2028.Â
These new aircraft will primarily be deployed on routes to and from Haneda Airport.
JAL Group remains committed to providing the highest level of service to its customers while working towards reducing CO2 emissions.
 The airline will continue updating its fleet with the latest fuel-efficient aircraft to achieve these environmental goals.
 Yukio Nakagawa, JAL’s Executive Officer of Procurement, expressed delight at the additional introduction of the A350-900 for international routes and the new addition of the A321neo.
Airbus CEO Christian Scherer expressed gratitude for Japan Airlines’ confidence in the A350 and celebrated this new milestone in their partnership.Â
