Saudi Arabia is set to open King Salman International Airport (KSIA) in Riyadh by 2030, aiming to become a global aviation hub.
KSIA will cover 57 square kilometers and accommodate up to 100 million passengers annually, playing a pivotal role in the country’s Vision 2030 plan to diversify the economy.
The airport will feature six runways and cutting-edge technology, with a focus on sustainability, aiming for LEED Platinum certification. KSIA will also process 2 million tons of cargo per year, boosting Saudi Arabia’s logistics capacity.
Designed to cater to the growing Generation Alpha demographic, KSIA will incorporate Riyadh’s cultural identity. Saudi airlines are expected to benefit significantly from the increased air traffic and economic impact, with 103,000 jobs projected to be created.
