The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended the licenses of ten private jet companies for violating its regulations.
According to NCAA Regulations 2023 Part 18.3.4, holders of Permit for Non-Commercial Flight (PNCF) are prohibited from using their aircraft for commercial purposes.
The agency has mandated that all PNCF holders undergo re-evaluation, with completion required by April 19th.
These suspensions come in response to continued disregard for the rule against commercial use of aircraft.
To enforce compliance, NCAA officials have been deployed to General Aviation Terminals (GAT) and private wings of airports to monitor PNCF holders’ activities.
These recent suspensions follow earlier actions taken by NCAA in April, which were initiated after directives from Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo to halt such violations. Additionally, NCAA has ordered a comprehensive reevaluation of all PNCF holders to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
These measures are part of broader efforts to combat alleged money laundering, drug trafficking, and other illicit activities involving private jet operators in Nigeria.
