The Ebonyi State Government has finalized the N42 billion rehabilitation of Chuba Okadigbo International Airport.

This overhaul includes a newly constructed concrete runway, essential for operational readiness.

Despite delays due to runway conditions, an additional N20 billion investment by the current administration ensures the airport is set to begin flight operations imminently.

Plans are underway for Ebonyiairline to acquire four aircraft, with potential for three more from investors, marking a significant stride towards becoming a regional economic hub.

Governor  Francis Nwifuru remains steadfast in his commitment to revitalizing the airport, aiming for a transformative impact on Ebonyi’s economy and global visibility.

The official announcement of the airport’s completion is anticipated in August, promising to elevate Ebonyi State onto the international stage.
