The eighth UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism, co-organized with the Basque Culinary Center, aimed to strengthen the link between product, gastronomy, and tourism.
Over 300 participants from 50 countries were in attendance, focusing on sustainable development, innovation, and food waste. Chef Fatmata Binta and Basque Chefs Martín Berasategi and Pedro Subijana were appointed as Ambassadors for Sustainable Tourism.
The forum also discussed policies strengthening agriculture, gastronomy, and tourism, and the importance of education, innovation, and supportive regulations.
