The Türkiye Tourism Board has reported a remarkable 34% surge in Indian visitors during the first five months of 2024, reaching 126,000 compared to 94,000 in the same period last year.
This spike underscores India’s growing interest in Türkiye’s diverse tourism offerings. Istanbul remains a top draw, while Cappadocia’s breathtaking landscapes and exhilarating hot air balloon rides attract adventurers.
Antalya and Bodrum are favored for their pristine beaches and luxurious resorts, and Pamukkale, İzmir, and Alaçatı captivate with their natural beauty and rich history.
To bolster this trend, Türkiye Tourism Board partnered with the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) for a six-city roadshow across India, aimed at deepening ties with Indian travel professionals.
Initiatives such as the OTOAI fam tour further promote Türkiye as a premier destination.
Recently concluded from June 30 to July 6, 2024, the fam tour hosted 40 OTOAI members from various regions of India, showcasing Türkiye’s unique attractions and hospitality.
