The British Army has announced a recruitment drive for citizens of Nigeria and other Commonwealth nations.
The application window is open from August 19 to August 26, 2024, offering opportunities in various roles, including musicians, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Royal Engineers technicians, tradesmen, and paratroopers.
This recruitment highlights the essential contributions of Commonwealth soldiers to the British Army.
Applicants must be linked to the Recruit Bounty Referral Scheme, except for those applying as musicians.
Candidates will undergo a series of fitness tests, including the multistage fitness test (beep test), seated ball throw, and mid-thigh pull.
Applicants are advised to quit smoking and maintain a balanced diet in preparation for these assessments.
Successful candidates must be prepared to travel to the UK for further evaluations in October and November 2024.
Basic training for accepted recruits is scheduled to begin between January and March 2025.
