The UK’s High Commissioner, Charles Moore, has announced that the UK accepts Namibia’s proposal to introduce a new visa regime for 31 countries that do not reciprocate Namibia’s visa-on-arrival policy.
According to Moore, every nation, including Namibia and the UK, has a responsibility to maintain its borders. The new visa regime aims to promote reciprocity and ensure that Namibia’s borders are secure.

Moore acknowledged Namibia’s right to regulate who enters the country, citing the recent Cabinet announcement requiring nationals from 31 countries, including the UK, to obtain visas for business or tourism purposes.

This comes after the Cabinet announced that nationals from 31 countries, including the UK, will require a visa to enter Namibia for business or tourism purposes.
