The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has reported a robust recovery in the global Travel & Tourism sector, with all regions recovering faster than expected.

The Asia-Pacific region is leading the way, with the sector’s performance exceeding expectations. WTTC recently launched the latest Environmental Impact Research data (ESR) in partnership with the Sustainable Tourism Global Center (STGC), which covers 185 countries across all regions.

The data shows Travel & Tourism was responsible for 8.1% of greenhouse gas emissions in 2019, 10.6% of total global energy, and 0.9% of freshwater use.

The event will feature delegates from around the world, including footballing legend Didier Drogba, Justin Urquhart-Stewart, Francis Gatare, and other regional heads of state.
