UAE citizens holding valid US visas will soon benefit from expedited entry into the United States under the Global Entry Programme, set to begin in October 2024.
The UAE and US signed an agreement enabling Emiratis to join this initiative, which streamlines entry procedures at US ports of entry. Pre-screened participants will bypass long queues by using Global Entry kiosks at US airports, significantly reducing wait times.
The agreement was formalized during UAE President Sheikh Mohamed’s official visit to the US. Emirati citizens must still possess a valid US visa to participate. Both nations will now work on finalizing the criteria for the UAE’s full inclusion in the program, which is operational in 75 airports across the US.
