Despite the advice of family and friends urging him to stay in Europe, Adeleke made the decision to return to Nigeria quietly in November 2023.
He attributes his faith as a significant influence in this choice, emphasizing the importance of sacrifice, determination, and hope for Nigeria’s prosperity.
Adeleke’s dedication to promoting green growth is reflected in his non-profit organization, Green Growth Africa Sustainability Network (Green Growth Africa).
The organization supports Master’s and Doctoral research students in African universities through its Mentoring for Research Programme.
It has launched several impactful initiatives such as the EcoHeroes Initiative, Africa4Nature Health Initiative, and EcoKnowledge Derivatives.
Recently, Green Growth Africa unveiled the Green Growth DigiHub, a digital platform analyzing global and policy implications of local green growth efforts.
Additionally, the organization has successfully constructed a green building entirely from recycled plastic bottles, powered solely by solar energy and independent of the national grid.
