British Airways has announced the cancellation of all flights between London Gatwick and New York’s JFK Airport from December 12, 2024, to March 25, 2025, due to delays in the delivery of Trent 1000 engines by Rolls-Royce.

This affects 103 scheduled transatlantic flights, impacting British travelers seeking holiday visits to New York. BA, which operates up to nine daily flights to JFK from London (with eight from Heathrow), cited the ongoing supply delays as a significant disruption to its fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

A BA spokesperson expressed disappointment but assured impacted passengers of alternative arrangements, including flights with BA or partner airlines.
