Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar, responded by underscoring the federal government’s ongoing efforts to resolve the issue through diplomatic and legal channels. He blamed the dispute on Ogun State’s previous administration, which had poorly managed international agreements without involving the federal government or relevant foreign ministries.Â
Tuggar stressed the importance of properly registering such agreements to prevent future complications. The Nigerian government, in collaboration with the Attorney-General and the Ministry of Justice, is actively negotiating the release of the remaining aircraft.
