180 Nigerians Repatriated from Libya

On Wednesday evening, 180 Nigerians stranded in Libya were repatriated, arriving at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 7:30 p.m. via a chartered Al-Buraq Airlines flight.

The group comprised 67 adult females, 55 adult males, 24 female children, 18 male children, and 16 infants.

 This humanitarian effort was organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Nigeria’s National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). 

Upon arrival, the Nigerian Immigration Service conducted biometric profiling, while government agencies provided aid to assist their reintegration.

 This operation highlights IOM’s ongoing role in supporting stranded migrants and the Nigerian government’s commitment to reintegrating its citizens.
