Uganda Airlines launched direct flights between Entebbe and Abuja on September 12, cutting travel time from up to 14 hours to just 3 hours and 30 minutes.
This new twice-weekly route strengthens ties between Uganda and Nigeria, boosting trade, tourism, and education between the two nations.
Nelson Ocheger, Uganda’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, emphasized that the direct flights will ease the movement of cargo, reduce transport costs, and increase employment opportunities.
With introductory fares starting at $600 for economy, the route offers convenience for both business and leisure travelers.

The service aligns with the African Union’s goal to enhance intra-Africa connectivity and promotes regional cooperation, marking a milestone for Uganda Airlines as it celebrates its fifth anniversary.
