British Airways has signed an interline agreement with South Africa’s Cemair, allowing passengers to access more destinations in the region.
The partnership allows onward connections to various leisure destinations on CemAir’s network, popular with British travelers. Passengers can now book and transfer from Johannesburg OR Tambo and Cape Town International Airport, connecting to Bloemfontein, Kimberly, Margate, Durban, Hoedspruit, Plettenberg Bay, George, Maun in Botswana, and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
British Airways currently offers the highest capacity between South Africa and Europe, operating two daily flights from Heathrow to Johannesburg with the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787.
CemAir, a regional carrier based in Johannesburg, currently serves 11 domestic and three international destinations and has interline agreements with Emirates, Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Proflight Zambia, Egyptair, LAM Mozambique, and the national carrier South African Airways.
