Nigeria’s Air Peace will begin direct flight operations from Lagos to Gatwick Airport in London from March 30, 2024.
This comes after Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, Festus Keyamo, engaged the UK government to actualise direct flights from Lagos to London.
Keyamo held a meeting with NORSE Atlantic Airways’ CEO, Ben Boiling, in London in January 2024.
Air Peace had secured a foreign carrier operator permit to fly into the UK in November 2023, but has been unable to commence operations due to slot allocation issues at Gatwick Airport.
Boiling said NORSE Atlantic Airways would begin the partnership with Air Peace when final authorization is granted for direct flights into Gatwick Airport.
