Aero Contractors, Nigeria’s oldest airline, has reduced local flight fares to an average of N80,000 across all routes as part of a Yuletide initiative.
The fare cut, announced by Managing Director Ado Sanusi at a press conference on Tuesday, aims to ease travel costs amid high airfare driven by rising aviation fuel and maintenance expenses.
The discounted fares apply to routes including Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Kano, and more. The initiative, which began this week, will run until mid-February 2025 to support Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Sanusi emphasized the airline’s commitment to helping passengers reunite with loved ones during tough economic times, calling it a gesture of appreciation. Despite the lower fares, the airline assured it remains operationally profitable and reliable with its current fleet.
