Emirates Launches New Madagascar Route to Boost Tourism

Emirates has launched its inaugural flight to Antananarivo, Madagascar, marking its fifth destination in the Indian Ocean.

The four-weekly service, which connects via the Seychelles, aims to enhance Madagascar’s global travel links. The flight was greeted with a water cannon salute at Ivato International Airport and attended by Madagascar’s President Andry Rajoelina.

 Operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, the route underscores Emirates’ commitment to bolstering Madagascar’s tourism industry, which seeks to attract one million tourists by 2028.
