The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority has signed a $496 million dairy investment deal with UK-based Asset Green Ltd in London. Furthermore, the NSIA Asset Green UK dairy investment Nigeria MoU was signed during President Tinubu’s state visit to the United Kingdom.
The deal represents one of the most ambitious agricultural investments ever undertaken in Nigeria and a defining moment in the Nigeria-UK economic relationship.

The NSIA Asset Green UK dairy investment Nigeria platform combines four major components into a single integrated operation.
First, 20,000 hectares of climate-smart regenerative crop and forage production will underpin the entire supply chain.

Second, a modern 10,000-milking cow dairy operation will generate fresh milk at industrial scale.
Third, a state-of-the-art processing plant will produce fresh milk, milk powders, butter, cream, and up to 15,000 metric tonnes of infant formula annually.
Additionally, up to 10,000 rural households will be integrated into the supply chain through inclusive out-grower schemes.

British Deputy High Commissioner, Jonny Baxter, said:
Once operational, the platform will generate over $620 million annually delivering returns that exceed the initial capital outlay.
On his part, NSIA Managing Director & CEO, Aminu Umar‑Sadiq, said this dela would speed up reforms in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
