The Lagos State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria to build a 28km toll road.
The road will stretch from Shasha Road to the Airport toll gate on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. The partnership aims to enhance infrastructure development and alleviate traffic congestion along the crucial corridor.
The project will be carried out through a public-private partnership framework, facilitating the commencement of comprehensive exploratory works.
The collaboration aligns with the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sonwo-Olu administration’s THEMES Plus agenda, which focuses on alleviating traffic congestion along the corridor.
The project is expected to significantly reduce traffic challenges and provide relief to residents and commuters in the area.
The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria Chief Executive Officer, Olubunmi Kuku, appreciates the collaboration between the two levels of government.
