Pelumi Nubi, a UK-based Nigerian, is on a solo drive from London to Lagos and has arrived Africa.
The 29-year-old, who aims to set a record as the first black woman to drive from London to Lagos, expressed her joy at finally reaching Morocco.
Nubi said her primary goal is not to set records, but to challenge the notion that the ‘impossible’ exists. She sees this journey as an opportunity to explore the world’s beautiful continents, pushing her limits and inspiring others, particularly from the black community, to pursue their dreams.
She intends to demonstrate that such adventures are feasible as a solo black female traveler.
After completing her journey from England to France, Spain, and Morocco, Nubi plans to continue her journey to the West Sahara Desert, Mauritania, as part of her 17-country journey.
She will sleep inside her vehicle, allowing for spontaneity, cost-cutting, and added excitement.
