A Nigerian police officer is facing public backlash after a video emerged showing him harassing and directing deeply offensive sexist comments at British tourists visiting Nigeria.
The footage, published by Sahara Reporters, captured the officer making the shocking remark “make her pregnant” while addressing the foreign visitors conduct widely condemned as a gross abuse of authority and an embarrassment to Nigeria’s international image.

Human rights advocates have called for the officer’s immediate suspension and a full investigation by the Inspector-General of Police, warning that such behaviour, if left unpunished, threatens Nigeria’s reputation as a safe and welcoming destination for tourists.
The Nigeria Police Force had not issued an official response at the time of this report.
