The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has enhanced its air patrol and surveillance capabilities with the acquisition of a Cessna Grand Caravan EX-208B aircraft.
Announced by NCS Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi, the new aircraft, equipped with modern Garmin G 1000 avionics, can operate day and night, even in low-visibility conditions.
The aircraft, registered as 5N-BAA, can carry 10 officers and has a six-hour aerial endurance, significantly boosting border surveillance and anti-smuggling efforts.
Powered by a reliable PT6 Pratt and Whitney engine, it is designed for rugged conditions and remote airstrip operations.

This addition strengthens the NCS’s capacity to detect smuggling routes, deploy armed personnel, and support ground operations, contributing to both border security and revenue generation for the service.
