The Tour Operators Union of Ghana (TOUGHA) has welcomed South Africa’s decision to allow Ghanaian passport holders to apply for visas online.
The South African High Commission in Ghana announced the move on September 28, ending the traditional practice of physically submitting passports for visa processing.
TOUGHA President, Alisa Osei-Asamoah, expressed delight at the e-visa system’s timeliness and its potential to facilitate increased mobility between the two countries, fostering trade and tourism. She also urged Ghanaian authorities to establish their own e-visa platform to facilitate travel to Ghana.
